As a new blogger I have been doing research as to what to add to my blog and how to capture readers. Basic things to get started. But really just building a site is really out of a lot of people’s comfort zone. It’s a learning process. I’ve got the basics down but now I’m just working on content. It’s hard to put yourself out there. Confidence is always a struggle for me. Sometimes it’s discouraging knowing I have few readers but I ran across some great advice. It really can apply to any part of life:
There are many blogs out there but none of them have been done by you.
It’s about what makes me me. I don’t even remember the site I read it on but it has stuck in my head as I venture on through this blogging adventure often thinking maybe I should quit. But, no I will keep on because I enjoy it, if for no other reason. This blog should be from my perspective as a designer/foodie/friend. Hopefully something worthy of you reading it. No pressure, right? I don’t expect to give life altering advice but if I can solve your paint dilemma or give you a great recipe. So be it.
I have go-to blogs that I check in with weekly. I like looking at other people’s decor and their lives as a whole. Maybe learning something as I go. I’ve tried to figure out why I like certain ones more than others. The good thing is I don’t really see one that says “that’s me” so obviously I have something to offer. Hopefully.
So I will keep posting in hopes of giving people a laugh or an idea or inspiration. Even if my only reader is my mom (Hey Mom!).
